After mesmerizing us all at the end of term performance night I thought it was the perfect time to share this short piece about Damien one of the few male pole dancers at The Pole Room. I just want to be part of emulating that beauty. If that makes any sense? So, I want to be the leaves. Just give me a second to think of the next question.
What made you start pole dance classes? Last year, I went through a rough stage and had really low self-esteem, and I wanted to do something that would help me be more confident. The rest is history! What changes have you noticed in your life since you started pole dancing?
How long have you been Pole Dancing for? B: I got a taste of it in and started with classes in ! What got you started in pole fitness? B: A good college friend worked at my New Brunswick studio! At the time I was working in an office and was looking for a fun way to get into shape. I was too shy to join the studio at first. It took a few months to get me in! What kept you interested in the sport?
In the Pole Dance Community introudced the Advancement and Accreditation Programme AAP to help both pole dancers and pole dancing instructors to follow a clear pathway for development. Last month we recorded our th graded dancer. We sent April a special award for being our th graded pole dancer and we asked her a few questions about her pole journey and her grading experience. New Plymouth is a small city nestled on the West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand, so geographically I was at a disadvantage with the closest studio where there is another trained and skilled instructor being a 2 hour drive away. Therefore I didn't really have anyway of someone else gauging my skills and giving me finer points to make me a better poler without spending a whole lot of money on petrol and accommodation. So when I saw that PDC did on-line pole grading with detailed feedback, I thought that was a perfect economic solution to my problem.
