Searching for new music can be a great way to choose something that fits you just enough, but also provides something exciting and different to your dancing! So, even if you have a few ideas already in mind, try searching anyways. After all, as an artist, you can learn a lot from hearing something new! One of the most common and dancer-recommended ways to find new or newer music is to use your own library and favorite artists as the jumping-off point, then allow intelligent algorithms and the suggestions of the music community to do the rest! One thing dancers have in common? We have our favorite artists, preferred genres, default playlists that we play on repeat. Apple Music has a wide selection of music. Aside from live-streaming, Apple Music allows for offline-listening for any music that you save. SoundCloud is great for finding new music. When an artist that you follow reposts a track or even an entire album from another artist, it shows up in your feed. There is such a wide variety of genres from random artists that are sure to inspire new movement in some way. The most creative remix I know of is by Esta of Soulection, and you can watch its creation here. In addition to Esta, artists Flamingosis and Boogie Belgique often make instrumental tracks that give random samples a new feeling.
